Pure Florida presents Marine Science Kids Cruise April 23

Pure Florida’s Fort Myers location will offer a Marine Science Kids Cruise on April 23 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. As part of Pure Florida’s Kids Cruise Free program, which provides complimentary cruises to children on Saturdays at 10 a.m., the Marine Science Kids Cruise will be free for children when accompanied by paid adult admission.

Similar to the Marine Science Field Trips available to students in Naples and Fort Myers through Pure Florida’s Pure Education program, the Marine Science Kids Cruise offers a hands-on, explorative cruise, challenging children to work in teams and think critically, all while experiencing and learning about marine biology, environmental science and the importance of preserving Southwest Florida’s precious waterways. Passengers aboard the M/V Edison Explorer will cruise along the Caloosahatchee River, capturing water in multiple locations to then test salinity, pH, nitrate, ammonia and phosphate levels. Guests will also learn about healthy estuaries, the history of the Caloosahatchee River and healthy practices for clean water preservation.

The M/V Edison Explorer departs from The Marina at Edison Ford, located at 2360 W. First St. in Fort Myers.

Reservations are required. For more information on Pure Florida, or to register for the Marine Science Kids Cruise, call Pure Florida’s Fort Myers location at 239-919-2965 or visit www.PureFL.com.
