NAPLES, Fla. (May 31, 2019) – Pure Florida is offering educational science cruises for children on Saturday, June 22 and Saturday, July 27, as part of Pure Florida’s Kids Cruise Free program offered at 10 a.m to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday. Guests will embark the M/V Double Sunshine departing from Pure Florida’s Naples location at Tin City, 1200 5th Ave. S., Naples. During the science cruises all ages will enjoy Glen Beitmen of “Super Science & Amazing Art.” Beitmen’s humor and hands-on science experiments and demonstrations entertain and educate children about the properties of water, environmental science and the marine wildlife that live in and around Southwest Florida’s waterways.
Every Saturday at 10 a.m. kids cruise free when accompanied by a full-fare paid adult. Children and their families can learn about the Southwest Florida environment and observe the variety of wildlife present on the waters with Pure Florida captains and mates providing families with historical and ecological narration during the 1.5 hour cruise along the Gordon River out to the Gulf of Mexico. While Pure Florida cannot guarantee animal sightings in the wild, the captain will alert passengers to wildlife such as dolphins, eagles, manatee, native birds and more.
